The Antebellum Barn

Our Antebellum Barn was built prior to the Civil War according to a local amateur historian who has studied how construction techniques have evolved. In 2017, we began a sizable renovation on the structure so it could house events instead of horses. Now the barn is 6,250 square feet with:

4,200 square feet of the area open in one room. In addition, there is  a 1,000 square foot loft where we used to store hay. The ceiling vaulting to 26 feet high.A prominent natural stone fireplace with a walnut mantel harvested from Tammy’s family farm. Walls of whitewashed nickel gap pine boards. Former horse stalls now housing a catering kitchen. A stage large enough for the entire wedding party. Natural light from large windows with pastoral views. A courtyard entryway with gorgeous landscaping. Sliding barn doors opening onto the pavilion. Chandeliers, sconces and spotlights dimmable to create the perfect ambiance. Restrooms & dressing rooms specially designed for the bride and groom’s needs. A staircase perfect for photo opportunities of the event notables or the bride’s train. Heating or air conditioning for comfort, regardless of the weather.

The Pavilion

A 3,300 square foot timber frame addition which was built in 2015. This space offers an open-air and shaded option with the picturesque lake as your ceremony background. It adjoins an antebellum barn. Along with up to 250 of your guests, you can enjoy the feeling of an outdoor event with the security of a roof and fans. The antebellum barn houses air conditioned and/or heated restrooms, as well as bride and groom dressing rooms.

Lawnside

A level, manicured, 2-acre greenspace beside a 2-acre pond. The double doors of the barn open onto this area, customized for the bride’s grand entrance. If the weather is uncooperative, slide festivities into the barn. The lawn is only 1/3 of a football field from the parking area. LED lights glow here at night making any event party worthy.

The Dock

The perfect spot for a wedding with 100 guests or less. It offers unique intimacy where the bride and groom may watch their vow exchange in real time reflected in a 2-acre pond with fish leaping nearby. There are electric receptacles on the dock for sound amplification.

The Grand Barn

The barn doors open onto a lake, just 150 feet away. The setting, in the midst of rolling hills, features a flat, manicured lawn. The barn opens to a vaulted ceiling with custom wash-bin lighting, and sliding doors to keep the weather out and the fun in. The barn is suitable for all seasons with air-conditioning and heating. With 8,600 square feet, it is perfect for events and has plenty of dance floor space. Many weddings inside the barn take advantage of the two sides using one for the ceremony and the other for the reception.
